LL.B. Program (4-YEAR SEMSESTER SYSTEM)
PROGRAM STRUCTURE & DURATION
This program in each academic year follows a semester system. Semester final exams are conducted by the University of the Punjab at the end of each semester. The duration of each semester is 6 months and this program constitutes 8 semesters. This structure ensures that students receive a thorough and continuous legal education, allowing for in-depth study and understanding of various legal subjects.
ASSESSMENT & EVALUATION
Assessment at Unified Law College is comprehensive, continuous, and designed to develop both academic excellence and professional competence. Our evaluation system incorporates a variety of tools to ensure a holistic understanding of legal concepts and practical skills.
- Semester Examinations are conducted by the University of the Punjab at the end of each semester, evaluating students’ theoretical knowledge of core legal subjects.
- Continuous Assessment is carried out throughout the semester through quizzes, assignments, presentations, and class participation, encouraging consistent engagement and performance.
- Research Projects and Term Papers form a key part of the assessment strategy, promoting analytical thinking, legal research, and academic writing skills.
- Oral Examinations (Viva Voce) are also conducted to assess students’ ability to articulate and apply legal principles in a clear and structured manner.
- At the end of each semester, internal assessment marks— which contribute to the final university results—are submitted to the University of the Punjab. These marks are based on mid term exams, class tests, attendance, participation, and overall discipline and conduct.
- This structured assessment framework not only measures academic progress but also prepares students for the intellectual demands of the legal profession.
